ALL IN THE DETAILS: Picking Your Pattern

With the cold weather quickly approaching that means a few things: the cute boots are coming out, the big sweaters are going on and all those stylish fall looks are demanding a ton of detail! Now, details are amazing, they add a little jazz and let all you amazing Fashionistas and Fashionistos express your personality. They can even lead to discovering new trends if you get really creative with them. However, don’t be fooled, because they are also tricky. This is due to the fact that details can start clashing with each other very quickly. The key is finding the balance with patterns, colors and details that complement each other. Pick your pattern with how you use detail.

This super stylish Fashionista started with a bold maroon tribal pattern sweater and completed the look with other details in earthy tones. The maroon top underneath popped the color in the look, as well as giving a stable building block for all the details around it. Stabilizing a bold pattern with a solid is a good idea because it gives the outfit an anchor, and prevents you from getting lost in a wild design. Now on to the even more detailed aspects. When trying to rock looks with multiple detailed elements, go for unique pieces that can’t be found in just any mall or any closet. These super stylish boots are vintage, so they are unique to this Fashionista’s wardrobe. I love how the black leather complements the black leather in the pants, while the brown leather provides an unexpected pop. The fringe in the boots are also a detail that makes them unique and separates them from the typical short fall boot. The leather in the pants also creates a stream for the eye to flow from the boots to the bag in a seamless line.

This Fashionista is extremely trendy and just keeps getting trendier. Her bag, is not only exceptionally designed, but it has an amazing story behind it too, she got it from a small boutique in Spain, but it originally came from Africa. The detail is so intricate, it really is a priceless statement piece and a conversation starter. It quickly became one of my favorite accessory pieces ever. When you’re traveling, keep your eyes open for pieces like this. This Fashionista knew exactly what she was doing when she was accessorizing with jewelry. She stuck with an adorable two layer maroon tear-drop necklace in the front. Yet, brought the fun with her bracelet. Her bracelet brought a nice green pop to the look, while staying low-key. When one color is so dominant in a look, it’s nice to find subtle ways to pop another color.

This gorgeous Fashionista did an absolutely phenomenal job working with detail. Her look is stunning and the pieces complement each other flawlessly. Next time you Fashionistas and Fashionistos decide to rock a look with extra detail, remember to pick your pattern in the detail and you could look this amazing too!
