STYLE GURU STYLE: The Everlasting Bomber

A few weeks ago, my mother asked me if I’d like my father’s dingy, worn out, brown bomber jacket. It’s vintage and an awesome look for fall, but I put that one in the closet for later this year and took out my own, modern bomber. The Bottega Veneta spring/summer 2016 runway show proved to me that this style bomber is hot on the market and perfect for the cool, spring weather.

Since I’m a second-semester senior, my wallet drags me to the fast and mass production of stores like Zara. I’m obviously not bashing them by any means (because there are days when I have on Zara-everything). Its inner workings are not my area to address, but it’s a reliable store with great garments! That’s where I pulled the deep-red, suede bomber off the rack. I took the bomber look from Bottega Veneta and threw in my own comfort of everyday joggers and a pair of transitional, brown boots. This is such a simple look that anyone can pull off. The “Red, White and Blue” combination just kind of happened but who doesn’t like a little national pride once in a while?  There are no body restrictions to this piece because none of these clothes are tailored to my body besides the size. I encourage any Fashionisto or even Fashionista to go out and purchase a bomber. They’re a look that have been revamped through the decades. One day you might want to pass yours down to your kid.

Get My Look: 1. Suede bomber jacket. 2. Pair of everyday joggers. 3. Pair of standard brown boots.
