STYLE GURU BIO: Sarah Niderost

Hey there, my fellow fashion fiends! My name is Sarah Niderost, and this is my first exciting semester with CollegeFashionista.

I was born and raised in a small town called Ukiah in California, but growing up I had big city dreams and now I reside in San Francisco. I am studying journalism and business marketing at San Francisco State University. As you can see, I like to be a busy gal.

Style at the campus of San Francisco State varies and contrasts constantly, I cannot wait to share some of them with you all.

As for my style, I like to incorporate as much color, structure, and comfort as possible. Living in the city means walking. For me, that means walking everywhere. As soon as I get off my last MUNI stop, I’m out and about all over the streets from Union Square to The Marina. That being said, I happen to a lot of sneakers. I also like to wear anything that subtly or not-so-subtly says “fun.”

For this article, I wanted to show you all what a day out after class or on the weekends looks like for me.

I’m dressed in a fun halter dress underneath a classic jean jacket. I left the jacket open so I can show off the springy colors of my dress.

As for accessories, I tend to keep it simple. When I’m out and about, I’m moving all around, so a purse isn’t ideal for me to be hanging off my shoulder. I’m using a quirky, little backpack that holds everything I need while I’m exploring the streets of SF. It perfectly holds my keys, my wallet, my lip balm, and occasionally an extra camera lens too.

As I’ve mentioned sneakers above; they’re essential. I like to keep my sneak-style classic. This pair is so versatile, and they can make any outfit look a little sporty!

I cannot be more grateful to CollegeFashionista for this opportunity to share style in its abundance. I am so curious to see what awesome style I’ll be finding this spring, and I cannot wait to show you all! Have a RAD semester, everyone!
