Hey there, Fashionistas! My name is Lauren Wise and I am a sophomore at The Ohio State University. I am majoring in Marketing with a Fashion and Retail Studies minor, and I am so excited to be writing for CollegeFashionista this semester!

My love for fashion began at a young age—I was always snatching my mom’s latest copies of Vogue or InStyle and reading them cover-to-cover. When my sister and friends started coming to me for fashion advice, I began to realize this passion could turn into a real career. This past summer, I had the opportunity to work as a sales associate at one of my favorite retail stores: Anthropologie. Working with an eclectic mix of apparel and home items and styling a myriad of trendy women cemented my desire to leave my mark on the fashion industry. The fashion world has endless possibilities but I would love to someday work for a major fashion magazine or corporation, and eventually own my own boutique.

When my head isn’t in a fashion magazine, you can find me in yoga class, at Ohio Stadium cheering on my beloved Buckeyes, or with the amazing humans I am lucky enough to call my best friends. Although some may argue I have a shopping addiction, I prefer to say I’m investing in my personal brand.

As much as I love reading fashion editorials and staying up-to-date on the latest trends, I would describe my style as classic, casual and comfortable. Given the college lifestyle, my outfits can range from grungy Olsen twin, to post yoga athleisure, to polished business student to dressy night-out styles—and that’s all in one day. Additionally, I’m a self-professed lover of all things black and white, but I love to add unique pieces to change up my look.

Today’s look is my go-to GNO outfit. I’m wearing a classic black romper with a fun, lace trim. I paired this ASTR romper with my new favorite Steve Madden peep-toe booties and some minimalistic jewelry. My Coordinates Collection bracelet is my prized possession and a staple in my wardrobe. The coordinates lead back to my hometown so that I can always be reminded of where I came from; the inscription on the inside reads “follow your dream” so I can be reminded of where I’m heading. I completed my look with my two favorite Kendra Scott rings and a Tory Burch cross-body bag.

In addition to sharing my personal style, I am so excited to showcase the eclectic and unique style found at Ohio State. Columbus is a bustling city bursting with fashion inspiration just waiting to be shared. Here’s to a great semester!
