If You Live For Pumpkin Spice Season, You’ll Love These Fall Makeup Looks

The fall of my freshman year of college I became defined by two of my passions: my love of beauty and all things fall. I first bonded with my new suite-mates over eyeshadow palettes and apple cider. I became known in our friend groups for my lipstick collection and my pumpkin tattoo. It was a season full of changes (not just the leaves) but also filled with new inspiration and excitement.

To me, every fall brings some feeling of this atmosphere of change. Working at a makeup store, I get to see so many new products and trends that help me stay inspired to step outside my comfort zone. I love warm toned looks year round, but during the fall I get to play them up even more. From red smokey eyes to dark brown lips, here are some of my favorite fall makeup looks to give you an idea of how to rock the fall color palette.

Burgundy Lips Paired With a Fresh Glow

Dark lips are one of my favorite fall makeup staples, and this deep burgundy shade works for a majority of skin tones. I like how this Community Member pairs the bold lip with a more simple eye look just a touch of peach shadow blended into the crease and a small wing. The face is kept clean with just a touch of tinted moisturizer or BB cream, allowing your natural glow to shine. Throw a bit of brow gel on your natural brows to embrace the more natural feathered look, and you’re good to go.

Peachy Shades All Over

This is a gorgeous fall look for the days when you’re feeling a little bit more glamorous. For the eyes, start with a light peach transition shade, then darken the crease with a slightly darker shade. Pack your favorite gold shimmer shadow on the lid, and don’t forget a little highlight in your inner corner. This Community Member adds a statement wing to look and pairs it with light mascara. However, you could also forgo the eyeliner in favor of your favorite pair of falsies if you’re feeling a bit more daring. This glammed out eye look works perfectly with a touch of blush and highlight, of course. Finish it off with a nude or light peach lip.

Warm Smoky Eyes and Mauve Lips

I’m obsessed with this warm smoky eye. Start with a light orange transition shade, bring it high towards the brow bone. Then, take your time building up the color in the crease with darker orange and a touch of brown. You can keep it matte or choose to add a bit of shimmer to your lid. Don’t forget your lower lash line, start with the same transition shade and blend down just a bit, then take your darkest shade and hug your lower lash line. If you like, you can add a bit of a brown tight line for more definition. Curl your lashes and apply your favorite mascara, or add a wispy style false lash. Fill in your brows with a defined arch. This look also captures the gorgeous fall glow with a light rogue and highlight. Finally, a bold matte mauve lip completes this fall style.

Rosy Cheeks and Peach Details

If you’re not ready to try a deep orange just yet, peach tones are the perfect way to start. Start with a dewy foundation and a rosy blush, and then lightly fill in your brows. Keep the eyes minimal with some light peach shadow and a small wing. Then fill in your lips with a light peach shade. Lock it all in with your favorite setting spray to help your look last all day.

Mauve Eyes and Glossy Lips

I love how this look makes glossy lips—a typical summer staple—fall-ready. The nude brown glossy lip also pairs perfectly with the radiant glowy look. The cheeks are carved out just slightly with a deep bronzer or contour shade and topped with highlight. To achieve this eye look, start with a mauve shade blended into the crease and bring it down onto the lid. Then darken with a more purple toned shade in the crease. This Community Member leaves the eye look entirely matte, with the exception of a bright highlight in the inner corner, and finishes with a pair of false lashes.

Matching Pumpkin Eyeshadow and Lipgloss

Orange is the standout shade in this easy look. Blend a bold pumpkin-toned shadow onto your lid and lower lash line, and add a light coat of mascara. Opt for a more matte foundation or CC cream, and add just a hint of peachy blush. Define your brows with your favorite powder or pomade. A peach statement lip adds the perfect final touch.
