STYLE GURU BIO: Kseniya Dobrovolsky

Hey Fashionistas! I cannot believe I am saying this, but I am beginning my third round of being a Style Guru for the CollegeFashionista team (aka I have been a Style Guru for eight months now).

This summer I spent the majority of my time lounging by the pool, cuddling with my cat Milano and eating endless amounts of home cooked meals. YUM! Aside from gaining my weight in Russian food and getting a sun-kissed tan, I shopped till I dropped (actually until my wallet trickled down to a solid $5 bill…but same thing). My favorite trends throughout these summer months were off-the-shoulder styles especially in a white and blue pattern, gladiator sandals tied all the way to the knee and, of course, the slip dress. If you catch my drift, I love effortless, chic clothing.

In addition to increasing my wardrobe, I interned at a marketing agency and gained hands on experience on how to produce marketing campaigns and perfect my blogging skills in the inbound marketing industry. Each day was exciting and my boss was super cool, which was a MAJOR perk!

Though I am sad that summer is quickly winding down, I am super happy to be entering my favorite season—fall! The best part about this semester is that I will be completing an NYC internship program for my college! To put simply, I will work as a full-time intern in Manhattan while taking a course at Fordham University and living in Brooklyn Heights (my face is currently beaming with excitement as I type at 60 mph on this keyboard).

I will be joining the marketing team at Peter Thomas Roth, a beauty and clinical skincare company. Not only will I be interning with such an amazing company, I will be living in the hustle and bustle of New York City! This past spring I was lucky enough to have studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain so I cannot wait to experience an entirely new city. I am eager to attend events, roam through Central Park on my lunch breaks and take in the fact that I will be in one of the fashion capitals of the world. How can I not be the epitome of a little kid in a candy shop knowing that the NYFW is during the first month of my stay? I know that spotting a Fashionista will not be even a bit hard this semester. Bring it on NYC, I’m ready for you!

I am ecstatic to begin my new adventure in the Big Apple and to bring the CollegeFashionista team along on my journey. Make sure to read my articles throughout the semester to see what inspiring trends I spot each month!
