I got the Style Guru call: and it has a British accent.
My name is Kristin and I am a sophomore at Pepperdine University as well as a returning Style Guru! This year, I will be trading oceanic views for the historical landscape of London, England. I should have known I would be jetting off to England eventually with my name having British origins and all (that’s fate itself, folks). In addition to that sign of destiny, my passions consist of all things brilliantly Brit. They include but are not limited to: reading British Literature, sipping tea while watching Downton Abbey, occasionally talking to my friends in the worst British accent possible (I’m working on it!) and European fashion.
As a personal style blogger, fashion journalist for my university’s publications and returning Style Guru, fashion is a huge part of my life. Therefore, I am looking forward to numerous style inspirations coming my way in the U.K. Some of my favorite London trends include tea dresses, sporty-chic meets preppy outfits and equestrian elegance. I decided to draw on the teatime trend with this exquisite floral dress that features lace detailing. This thrift store find looks great with my Parisian straw hat and pointy nude flats. To glam up the look, I paired my dress with big floral studs and a multicolor floral ring. The whole look just screams me European!
Words cannot begin to describe how excited I am to explore the city where fashion is a vital part of culture, the historical and modern are eternal friends and, of course, where my favorite childhood books and movies (Harry Potter and Peter Pan to name a few) take place. Watch me document it all right here!
