STYLE GURU BIO: Jamie Shindler

I’m back in action working for the greatest college fashion site out there. For those of you who don’t know me, get ready. I am currently a junior at the University of Arizona where the sun rises high and the potholes sink low. I am in the process of applying to become a Marketing major at the Eller College of Management. When I’m not seeking out adorable Fashionistas, you can find me either at the pool, playing some volleyball, drawing for my fine arts minor or munching on some Jalapeño Cheetos.

I have worked for this company throughout the summer and have thoroughly enjoyed meeting strangers who share a common interest in style. I have been raised by a mother in the jewelry business, which explains why I rarely leave the house without some dangling earrings or a long necklace. Arizona only has a two-week winter, meaning my massive scarf collection will go mostly unseen.

I am more excited for the semester to come because I will be writing from my very own school, instead of getting lost on the largest campuses in Los Angeles. Although a lot of UCLA students have a good sense of fashion, Arizona is a melting pot of guys and girls who love to dress for the heat in accessorized outfits.

After watching the Super Bowl a few years back, and getting chills from the inspiring Nike commercials, I decided that was my dream job. Being an athlete, it is hard to not have a passion for sports clothing, and to be able to combine that passion with the business side of the field is ideal for me.

I usually wear dresses because I hate wearing pants. Most of my closet is a shade of blue. Lulu shorts and a strappy sports bra is a perfect combination of cute and comfy. And it isn’t a party if you aren’t wearing heels. I will teach everyone how to dress to impress.
