STYLE GURU BIO: Haley Arneson

Hey everyone!

My name is Haley and I am a returning Style Guru that is very excited to be back. My style has changed a bit over the past year. I love to experiment with what I wear because the feeling of confidence when you put together an outfit you love is very empowering. I am a student at Florida State University studying retail merchandising and product development. I love all things that have to do with the French culture, coffee, fashion, music and skateboarding.

I started skateboarding a little bit under six months ago and have pretty much fallen in love with it. I’d say that it has really impacted my style and has helped me discover myself. The journey of learning how to skate has not been easy, but the satisfaction I get when I ride my board makes everything worth it. I’ve been loving chino pants and Dickies lately. Another essential that I can’t leave the house without are my Vans. Not only are they super comfortable but they are very stylish as well. Recently fashion models such as Kendall Jenner have even been spotted sporting some Old Skools. In this look I am wearing my favorite checkered slip-ons. These shoes are very versatile. I can wear them to the skatepark or even dress them up for a night out. Something that has not changed is my love for Brandy Melville. These striped pants are indeed from Brandy and can be found at your local PacSun.

Music is a huge part of my life and I’m showcasing that by wearing my favorite band T-shirt. I think band T-shirts are such a cool way to express yourself and support your favorite artist. Here I’m wearing an oversized Julian Casablancas + the Voidz T-shirt that can be found online through their record label, Cult Records. The graphic is actually printed on a UNIF shirt which makes the quality very comfortable and durable. To go along with the edge I added Kylie Jenner’s lip-kit on my lips in the colors Dead of Knight and KyMajesty.

I’m super stoked to report some awesome street styles I see on campus this semester. I think it’s going to be a good one. Stay rad.
