STYLE GURU BIO: Franny Pamoukian

Hello Fashion enthusiasts! I am so thrilled to be a part of the CollegeFashionista team! I am currently a junior at the University of Rochester studying Business, Psychology and Studio Art.

Fashion has been a huge part of my life ever since I had my own runway show when I was seven years old. I grew up writing, taking mini photoshoots and designing my own jewelry, but it wasn’t until this past summer when I began to follow my passion and get some real world experience. I moved to New York City for eight months, started interning with the famous Sex and the City stylist Patricia Field, took a retail job at Anthropologie and toward the end of summer had the privilege of interning with Nicole Miller. It was during that short, month-long internship that I did everything. I went to trade shows, helped with photoshoots, met big-time buyers from Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdale’s, merchandised, helped the VP of marketing and sales and had the honor to work at the Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week, every Fashionista/o’s dream. It was the best summer of my life because I discovered myself and grew to love the art of fashion even more. I learned that fashion is an art and it truly does exist all around us whether it be in the busy bustling streets of New York City or even in the small college town of Rochester.

I hope to share with you the best of the best of Rochester student’s looks and inspire you to find style everywhere—whether it be found in lazy stay-in dorm days or in festive outdoor snowball fights. Style can exist in all of life’s silver linings.
