STYLE GURU BIO: Claire Larkins

Hey Fashionistas/os! I’m Claire and I’m excited to say that this is my fifth season with CollegeFashionista! I’m currently a super senior at UW-Madison studying Graphic Design. In my spare time, you can find me stalking French Bulldogs on Instagram, hanging out with friends or photographing almost anything.

My personal style has started to become much more casual recently due to the recent athleisure trend. Sneakers, joggers, skinny jeans and oversized graphic tees are typically what I tend to gravitate towards. I like to accessorize with the handbags and delicate gold jewelry, but usually I keep it pretty minimal. I definitely try to keep my wardrobe’s color palette very neutral with some touches of pinks and blues. Since I’m a redhead, I’ve kind of given up trying to make outfits work with my hair, so I keep it easy and gravitate towards black and white. My favorite pieces in my closet that I couldn’t live without are my moto leather boots and my leather jacket that I’ve had since high school.

CollegeFashionista has been a really great experience at UW-Madison. It’s been a great way to connect with other girls who share the same interests as me with fashion, photography and writing. Not only has it been a great way to find my niche at college, it has also allowed me to strengthen my skills as a photographer and writer. It’s been a really great experience to watch and help CollegeFashionista grow as a company, and I’m so excited to continue writing monthly posts this semester!
