STYLE GURU BIO: Brenna Yeager

Why Hello there, Fashionista/os! My name is Brenna Ruth Diane Yeager, but you can call me Birdy. You have stumbled upon yet another millennial just trying to make a name for herself, while attempting to not gain debt to last me a lifetime. I am an aspiring world traveler, but I currently call Portland, Oregon my home.

I have been studying fashion for the past couple of years at Oregon State University, and I am so ready to dip my toes into the industry (or just cannon ball straight into it). One of my first jobs was as a member of the fashion council at a local prom dress store, and I have recently leveled-up into the world of bridal. I work as a bridal stylist at BHDLN (Anthropologie’s bridal), and it is quickly filling up all of my time with beaming brides. I am up to my eyeballs in crystals and tulle, but I am loving every second of it.

On my days off, I am usually wearing some distressed mom jeans, a baseball cap and anything comfy. My style changes as quickly as the Oregon weather, but my comfort level is always one-hunid.

Comfort comes close to first in my book of fashion, and this look fits that rule to a T. Lace appliqué gives this boho dress a femme look, while catching your eye over this robin’s egg blue. The nude mesh paneling gives this loose dress some serious definition, but gives you so much more room for activities. Dress up this look with a breathable BB cream and delicate jewelry.

Just because you want to be comfortable, does not mean you can’t rock a dress and heels. Pass up the yoga pants every once in a while (unless you’re the one out of 10,000 who actually use them for yoga). Save the sweats for Netflix-and-chill with your cat, and find trendy yet comfy pieces that you’ll want to literally wear all night long.
