What’s up my fabulous Fashion connoisseurs?! My name is Allison Moraga and I am a junior at Florida International University majoring in Public Relations. I was born and raised in one of the most thrilling, fast pace and lively cities in the world: Miami, Florida. Miami has sharpened my eye for fashion with its prestigious #MiamiFashionWeek, swim suit season and its sought out beach scene.
As a college student, I know what it’s like to be on a budget. Throughout my posts this semester I will make it my objective to inform my readers on what stores/products will best stretch your dollar.
I’m excited to see what new trends I can spot on campus that will capture the essence of fall fashion. Although others might tend to believe that in the sweltering heat of the “305” we only wear shorts and tank tops. I’ll be on the lookout for edgy, daring and stylish outfits.
This school season I love to rock out with a bold graphic T-shirt. It’s casual, comfy and cute–all the three C’s you would want to incorporate. Accessories are the details that complement your outfit. I go everywhere with my midi rings, they make me feel like a gypsy in disguise. What I love the most about the fall season though are the colors we get to wear. A pop of burgundy on the lips was the final touch for my look.
One might ask me what’s my signature piece? That’s simple, my curly hair! I love to embrace it! Growing up throughout middle and high school I would expose my hair on a daily basis to various heat styling tools. Not only did it dry out my hair but I was also caving in to society’s perspective of what is beautiful. At this stage in my life, I feel confident in my own skin and that’s true beauty to me.
I can’t wait to see what this semester has in store for me, but one thing is certain—it’s going to be RAD!
