STYLE ADVICE: Transitioning Season Style

With spring quickly approaching, it’s almost time to pack up your fuzzy sweaters and knee length parkas and let more colorful, lightweight pieces come out from hibernation and make their way to the front of your closet.  The changing of seasons from winter to spring is something every one looks forward to, especially in Ohio, as a much needed break from the blistering cold and snow.  But let’s face it, if we’re talking about Ohio, the changing of the the season to spring doesn’t bring warm weather changes as fast as we all hope for.  With the weather still being annoyingly cold and the last of the snow flurries still falling when spring begins, transitioning your style from winter to spring can be a bit of a challenge.  This Fashionista was up to the task and nailed her look.

Nothing says spring fashion quite like pastels and flowy pieces.  This Fashionista’s outfit is the perfect solution to showcasing spring style when the weather is still transitioning. Her baby blue, off the shoulder top is an appropriately bright contrast to her darker denim jeans.  Off-the-shoulder tops are an ideal way to say goodbye to warm turtleneck sweaters and hello to a little skin. The bell sleeves add an element of class to the top, balancing the flirty peek-a-boo shoulders.  Her camel colored booties provide a break from less stylish winter boots.  Lace up detail and block heels are two prominent spring shoe trends and they are exemplified in these versatile cold weather appropriate booties. Her bold pink lip finishes off this look and sets the tone for the color palette we can expect to see when spring is in full swing.
