STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Sweater Salvation

Hello Fashionistas and Fashionistos! It looks like we’ve made it to the end of the semester. I’ve had a blast reporting on campus trends for CollegeFashionista this semester. I’m so excited to be continuing this summer. Even though we’re all drowning in papers and exams, it’s more important than ever to stay on task; and your outfits shouldn’t have to suffer either!

As I always like to say and do, you have to “Dress for Success.” On most exam days, students shuffle into class in their pajamas that they wore to cram in the night before, but I try to always dress my best. Putting on an outfit that you feel confident in will boost your overall mood and most likely lead to a better test performance. Unfortunately finals week is marked by endless hours spent sitting at the library (those chairs can get super uncomfortable after a while) and nights spent with more cramming than sleeping. Looking your best is often not the main priority during this time of the year. But with just a little bit of effort, dressing for success on final exams can pay off. Fortunately, I spotted this Fashionisto on campus, and he proves how easy it can be!

This Fashionisto caught my eye on campus because he is well dressed yet comfortable. This Fashionisto is wearing a crewneck with awesome detailing to bring it from lounging sweats to casual wear. By pairing his crewneck with a soft pair of jeans, this Fashionisto is comfortable and confidently dressed to take on finals week studying and exams.

With the introduction of Yeezy Season 3, casual wear and athleisure became major trends this season. It is easier than ever to find sweatshirts and crewnecks that are stylish/casual. These looks are perfect for finals week when students are most concerned with their comfort and test performance.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Don’t sacrifice your appearance for finals week! Pair a cool sweatshirt with your favorite pair of jeans, and you’ll be comfortable and confident!”
