STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Forget The Forecast

Have you ever chosen what you were wearing for the day based upon a “weather report”? Even better, have you ever spent only a few hours in your “perfect” outfit just to have the weather completely change? I think I can speak for everyone and say we have all been there. No one wants a cute outfit to go to waste over mother nature being indecisive. So now, I challenge you to be like this Fashionista and forget the forecast!

As Wisconsin starts to leave summer behind and the leaves begin to change color, a style advocate may start to pull out some of their fall favorites. Booties, and sweaters and vests, oh my! As cute as these classic fall pieces can be, our ever changing weather can put a sweaty damper on them fast. The challenge we have here as style advocates is to find something that works for the crisp mornings, heated afternoons and cool nights. This Fashionista did just that by finding a combo that can effortlessly be switched as the temperature rises and falls.

Everything about this outfit screams “Fall is here!” With this adorable, army green patterned vest being the MVP in this game against mother nature. The unique tribal pattern is mixed nicely with this trending army green color to make it the perfect statement piece. While the base of this outfit is composed of simple pieces, the eye catching vest really makes the whole outfit pop! This ensemble flaunts an overall fall look with the adorable brown leather booties, dark wash skinny jeans and a chic vest. However, when temperatures rise around noon this Fashionista’s quick fix is to ditch the vest and to carry it as a cute accessory. Next, she quickly cuffed her jeans up, and tied a trendy side knot in her three-quarter length T-shirt. She still looked fierce and ready to face the day, but now she could soak up the sunshine comfortably.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “My best style advice for this time of the year is to rock a statement vest or lightweight jacket whenever you can. They are perfect for adding a touch of fall to your style. If the temperatures change, they will give you the extra layer you need, or you can have some fun rocking them as an accessory if it becomes too warm.”
