ALL IN THE DETAILS: Lovely Lace

Dressing for the spring may be one of the hardest things us Fashionistas/os face through the year. The ever-changing weather makes picking an outfit less enjoyable. With the teasing weather we have been faced with, it is hard to be sure of what we’ll be comfortable walking to class in. When I saw this Fashionista’s outfit, I thought she had this spring weather wrapped around her finger.

Before the temperature heats up, our walking to class staples are pants and a light jacket. Due to the unpredictability of this season, we aren’t putting away our jeans just yet. On the warmer days you’re still safe wearing jeans and an off-the-shoulder top like this Fashionista. She is dressed comfortably for those lectures with the air-conditioner on blast and chilly evenings.

One of the best parts of this season is walking into a store and immediately being flooded by pastel colors. My favorite colors out of the pastel group are the blush tones. The way they go perfectly with every skin tone makes it a color that’s hard to beat. Being the epitome of feminine and flirty, designers and this Fashionista can’t stay away from it. Besides the color of her top, I adore the beautiful lace detail. Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada would be pleased with the substitution of lace for the traditional floral patterns seen in the spring time.

To finish off the look, she did a boxer braid in her hair. This fun hairstyle relaxes the look and makes it perfect for a day in class. As for makeup, this Fashionista put on some mauve lipstick which darkened her outfit complementing the dull day.

April showers bring May flowers, right? Here’s to a sunny May filled with lace and pastels!
