Six Beauty Tips to Get You Out the Door Quick

Let’s set the scene, shall we? It’s 7 a.m., you slept through your three preset alarms and you have an 8 a.m. class. Right after your classes you have an interview for an internship you’ve been waiting for plus office hours with that professor that intimidates you. How in the world are you going to do to not only make it out the door quick, but also do so looking your best?

Well, don’t worry! Here a few tips that will help speed up the process.

Tip #1 Always have your holy grail items prepared.jaidabrinkley101416-2 The beauty world at times can be very over populated with different products. I personally find myself always trying new products to see how they perform. Even with the abundance of beauty products, we all have a set of products that have never failed us. These are the products that you want to have when rushing to get out the house. You know how to use them, you know they’ll look good and you’ll feel confident wearing them.

Tip #2 Analyze your face jaidabrinkley101416-1

You have no time to waste attempting to do your entire makeup routine. Take a few seconds and analyze your face to see what it is you may what to conceal, correct or clean up. This will help you cut down your routine because sometimes we do more than we really need to when it comes to our makeup.

Tip #3 Simplify your routine jaidabrinkley101416-7

Trade in your normal time-consuming steps for something faster and easier. For example, trade in liquid liner for a pencil liner and smoke it out. To make it even more goof-proof I used a brown liner that creates more volume in my lashes but isn’t as noticeable as black.

Tip #4 Find a good skin tone concealer jaidabrinkley101416-5

Having a concealer that matches your skin perfectly can really cut down your routine. Rather than apply foundation to your entire face you can just conceal certain areas and simply blend to help even out your skin tone.

Tip #5 Invest in a Beauty Blender or a comparable beauty sponge  jaidabrinkley101416-1-2

I was probably the last person to jump on the bandwagon for the Beauty Blender but after finally trying it, I can understand the hype. This tool will not only change the way you apply makeup but will also cut down the amount of time it takes you to blend. The beauty sponge allows for a flawless blend and smooth application of your foundation and/or concealer.

Tip #6 Build the confidence in your look with your favorite feature

This tip is probably the most important to me. After you have cut down your routine as much as possible use that extra time to focus on your favorite feature. I am a firm believer that when you look your best you feel your best because there’s a confidence that puts a little pep in your step. Think about your favorite feature or part of your makeup that brings the entire look together. Is it highlighting or maybe it’s a killer lip color? This is what will make a rushed look appear more like it actually took you a long time to get ready.
