Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year. The leaves are starting to change to a beautiful autumn color scheme, football season resumes and I can finally put away my bright pink lipsticks and stow away my bright eye shadows in exchange for gorgeous dark lips and smokey eyes to match. Not that I don’t love bright colors, but there is something about a berry lip and a smoked out eye look that can just complete an outfit for fall. This Fashionista is clearly rocking this current trend. With a dark lip and black winged liner, she is definitely ready for the upcoming season.
This Fashionista paired her dark berry lip and smokey eye with a winged liner perfectly complemented by a very neutral outfit ensemble. Using only a simple gold bracelet, her main focus was on her standout lips. When using such dark makeup, it is always best to stick with neutrals as to not detract from the main star of your look. It is also often difficult to correctly combine a dark eye look with a dark lip without looking like a Halloween character; however, this Fashionista was able to focus more on a berry matte lip and use lighter colors for a smokey eye then added a black winged liner for that extra pop to the eyes.
What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To get this look, you need three major items. The first is a dark lip pencil, as berry lips can be difficult to apply without a solid foundation. Secondly you will need a matte berry lipstick. One of my favorites is this gorgeous color from Bite Beauty. And lastly you will need liquid eyeliner to complete this stunning look for fall.
