ALL IN THE DETAILS: The LBR (Little Basic Romper)

Truth be told, one of my favorite parts of spring weather is being able to break into my sundress collection. There is definitely something liberating about being able to put on bright colors in breezy silhouettes. Even the warm weather clothing feels so much more comfortable while still remaining stylish and chic; layering isn’t as big of a concern, which makes getting dressed in the morning a breeze. When I first saw this Fashionista’s outfit, the first thing that came to mind was “effortless.” Rompers are the perfect staple for any spring and summer wardrobe and can be foolproof in making you look like you spent so much more time on your outfit than you really did.

Rompers are like the LBD of the casual spring/summer wardrobe. They are so ridiculously versatile and are just as comfortable as your favorite pair of pajama shorts. Seriously, who wouldn’t want to feel good and look even better? This Fashionista decided to focus the entire outfit around her patterned romper from Urban Outfitters. Dark yet vibrant patterns are definitely a huge trend this spring, as many people are taking some inspiration from music festival style, specifically what’s seen at Coachella. Another thing I love about this romper? The delicate corset detailing in the back, which is unexpected but adds a super feminine touch to the outfit.

Since the outfit plays off dark earthy colors, this Fashionista decided that the perfect way to play up the outfit is to keep the accessories on the down low. A minimalistic state of mind is key when balancing out a vibrant statement piece. To dress it up, dainty metal jewelry is the way to go, so opt for a copper bangle or any other delicate bracelet to follow the organic style. Still keeping the accessories pretty minimal, this Fashionista decided to top the outfit off with a pair of black leather sandals. A neutral shoe is a great way to bring attention to the rest of the outfit, drawing the eyes up instead of down.

How To: Your favorite romper is the go-to for most outdoor events, and you’re so excited to wear it to a summer concert to see your favorite band. To switch up the look, wear a lace kimono over a monochromatic romper. Add a floppy hat and a long pendant necklace, and you and your chic renewed outfit will be ready for a night out!
