ALL IN THE DETAILS: Styling Texture

It’s officially December! The Holidays are here! What couldn’t be more exciting than listening to Christmas music and drinking hot chocolate! I know I am! While in other places there might be snow, here on my school campus there’s still no snow in sight. There are only leaves and the nice cool weather. Before the winter comes, I just want to enjoy the fall weather a little longer.

On my way to class, I spotted this Fashionista rocking a quilted vest jacket. I love how this Fashionista styled the vest with different textures of clothing, as it made the outfit more eye-catching. What’s also great about this vest is that it’s a lightweight vest and has fur on the inside to keep your body warm on those chilling days. A quilted or a puffer vest is a great way to transition a look for the winter weather. She got the vest at JCPenney and paired it up with a gray knit sweater that is also from JCPenney. For bottoms, she’s wearing a distressed skinny jean that she got from American Eagle Outfitters. I really like how the distressed detailing of the jeans gives the look more of an edgy feel but is still laid back. Lastly, for shoes, she is wearing red Vans sneakers that add a pop of color to the outfit. Finishing off the look, this Fashionista is wearing a heart necklace and white backpack. This outfit is great for a hangout with friends, going out to dinner with families, running errands or just going to school.

As the fall semester is coming to an end, I just can’t believe how fast it went by. I’m looking forward to the new year and seeing what’s in store for me. I hope everyone has a great holiday, and I’ll be returning next semester. See all you Fashionistas in the new year!
