ALL IN THE DETAILS: Raindrop, Cute Top

Spring break is over… so basically the school year is over right?! Sadly no. And to top it off, we must leave our tropical vacation for chilly, rainy weather that doesn’t quite seem “springy” to me. When you are just about over everything, your outfit choice is typically the one to suffer first, but don’t let it! Fight those cloudy day blues, shake out of that “groufit”, and add some detail.

When the sky is gloomy, we feel gloomy, and (unfortunately) in most cases dress gloomy. But that’s okay! Sometimes there is no avoiding that spring slump, but there are great ways to add a thing or two here and there to turn that outfit around. It’s all about the little things, right?

Avoid that ratty sweatshirt! Start with a basic T-shirt, there’s nothing wrong with breaking out this old favorite. Your go-to T-shirt is like an old friend—just one that needs to be spiced up a bit! Pair this top with a casual cardigan and you are good to go.

Afraid to get your nice purse wet? This is a perfect chance to incorporate a pop of color with your backpack. Not only is it convenient for class, but you will stand out in the dull crowd!

Even though we would all love to break out our flip-flops already, it’s not quite time yet. Use your classic vans or Converse to act as a transition from snow boots to sandals! They hold up great in the weather and tie the look together (no pun intended).

It doesn’t take a lot to create an outfit that feels like you’re at home curled up with a good book, but looks like your ready to take on the storm! It’s all about the details for days like this.
