ALL IN THE DETAILS: Pop Of Color

In a gloomy town with a lot of dull weather, it’s hard to find the motivation to dress in bright colors or really in any color at all. It seems that most students on the Oneonta campus prefer to encompass the weather mood in their outfits. Many Fashionistas prefer to be comfortable in class, so they wear leggings most of the time. Pairing a pair of black leggings and a black top is definitely not out of the norm for most Fashionistas.

This Fashionista was able to capture the classic Oneonta student class look while adding her own spin on it. Dark colors are definitely trending on campus this winter. This Fashionista went with a classic pair of black leggings and matched it with a black oversized sweater. However, she made a point to stand out from the norm with her accent scarf. A plaid blanket scarf is a great way to not only stand out in the sea of your peers, but also a great way to stay warm.

I absolutely love this Fashionista’s choice of a plaid colorful scarf. Although most students prefer to dress in dark colors, I recommend adding a hint of color to your ensemble. I’m a strong believer in the idea of “if you look good, you feel good.” Adding just a hint of color will definitely make you look and feel better, which will help get out of your winter blues funk. Luckily, spring should be approaching quickly. But for now, try a splash of color to boost your mood for the remainder of winter.

How To: Don’t be afraid to experiment with color. Maybe add a colorful scarf to your all black outfit like this Fashionista. Another option is to experiment with other colorful accessories. Adding a fun headband or high socks to stick out of your boots will accomplish the same effect.
