ALL IN THE DETAILS: New Year New Gear

As 2016 comes to an end and the New Year begins, one of the most common New Years’ resolutions is to live a healthier lifestyle and to start giving our bodies some TLC. Our health should always be a priority and the New Year is a perfect reason to start fresh. A resolution most people have is to try to consistently hit up the gym. This is always the easiest in the beginning of the year/semester when classes are just starting and the workload is lighter. But as the school year progresses, it becomes more difficult to make working out a priority.

Over winter break and into the New Year, this athletic Fashionista found a way to keep up her gym routine throughout the year—by getting new gym gear! You know what they say, “Look good, feel good!” When you have work out clothing that fits you just right and is designed to help promote your hard workout, you’ll feel more inclined to go to the gym.

In recent years, athletic brands have made their sporty clothing more desirable to wear, which in turn makes people want to work out more. Athletic wear has become more popular amongst all ages and can be customizable, making it more appealing to a wide array of customers. Work out gear is now worn more stylishly, making way for athleisure—athletic wear worn leisurely, i.e. running errands or casually strolling the city.

For this workout, our Fashionista went for a classic black and white look with a pop of color from her headband. From afar, her clothing may look like a pair of simple black leggings and a tank top, but up close you can see the mesh cut into her Lululemon leggings and in the back of her tank top, allowing her more breathability during her workout. To give her look some more dimension, she pairs her black tank top with a white strappy sports bra and all white Adidas. Since the weather is colder, she also added a Lululemon thermal fleece zip up jacket to complete her look. With her hair tied and Fitbit strapped on her wrist, she’s ready to make the most out of her workout!
