ALL IN THE DETAILS: May Flowers In September

October 1st, 2015 at 5:18pm

As we say goodbye to crop tops and flip flops, and hello to cardigans and and leggings, there is one summer trend that we can bring into fall with us, and that is floral print. Florals always bring a summery vibe to our outfits and can make an ensemble cute and flirty. But just because the flowers start to die in the autumn, does not mean they have to die in our wardrobe for fall.

This Fashionista made the perfect transition from summer in to fall by mixing summer florals with beautiful fall tones. Temperatures have not quite dropped to fall standards yet, so this light mini dress was the perfect fit for this warm day! The subtle floral detailing of the dress makes it perfect for a casual summer day, but the earthy green gives it the perfect autumn touch. To me, the baby pink and tan accents in the lace bralette and statement necklace are what bring this piece together. This color scheme offers an easy transition into the seasons, bringing in the earthy autumn tones while not letting go of soft summery pastels.

To complete this look, this Fashionista chose to wear her brown leather booties, which can be worn for any occasion, and fit for any season!

How To: If wearing print clothing is too intimidating, bring it out in your accessories! Jewelry goes a long way, and lace detailing always adds subtle designs that are not too distracting. At the end of the day, it is truly all in the details.
