ALL IN THE DETAILS: Loud Necklaces

I don’t know about you Fashionistas/os, but I love a piece that will speak for itself. A major trend I think we’ve all seen (and loved) is the chunky standout necklace. This trend has been on my radar for awhile now, and it’s not fading out anytime soon. There are so many occasions and outfits that look great with standout necklaces that it’s hard to pick just one to highlight. Standout necklaces have a mind of their own and are easy to incorporate into any look, as we can see with this Fashionista.

This Fashionista brings even more spunk into her look with an emerald-toned, chunky necklace (as if her outfit wasn’t already standout!). She incorporates so many different trends into her look that I had to do a double take when I saw her. But what really drew me in was the necklace with beads in the similar shades of blue as her sweater. Using a standout necklace that’s a similar shade as the outfit you’re wearing creates a monochromatic look that blends the pieces together and catches the eye. She keeps the blue shades in her skirt that cinches right at her waist to create a great shape. Add those textured tights and the emerald in her shoes, and this outfit is a stunner.

Standout necklaces are meant to be the main piece in a look, so try something more simple on top like a sweater or tank. Necklaces like this are perfect for a monochromatic look that needs some pops of color. If you have a patterned top or like to keep things simple, make this necklace your statement piece, and for something a little edgier, try this. Either way, the necklace you choose will make your outfit pop.

How To: Have a simple tank that just doesn’t have much going on? Choosing a statement necklace with elements of that color. A neon color will help blend the necklace but will also make the tank more chic.
