ALL IN THE DETAILS: It's All About the Dainty Details, Darling

February 8th, 2017 at 2:00am

During the winter months, most college Fashionistas can come to the agreement that dressy cozy is absolutely key. However, this doesn’t mean that a simple ensemble with a sweater and jeggings has to be “blah!”. What’s the easiest way to transform a simple ensemble?  Accessories, of course!

This Fashionista from Penn State University is looking effortlessly chic as she strolls through downtown State College, PA on a chilly January afternoon. Her off-the-shoulder sweater with flowy, bell-shaped sleeves is complimented perfectly by her pendant choker and gold chain necklace.

The color scheme is kept simple (we all love our neutrals, am I right?!), but the contrast of black and white will always keep an outfit looking elegant and well put-together. The distressed jeggings give the outfit some edge, and the low-heeled black booties are ideal to keep our feet from aching while strolling down College Avenue.

My favorite elements to this get-up would have to be the rings! They add such a delicate, feminine touch to the outfit. While holding a warm cappuccino on a cold winter stroll in downtown State College, who doesn’t love some cute rings to compliment your cozy look?

The staple pieces of this ensemble are simple enough to draw attention to all the beautiful details! Additionally, this Fashionista is rocking the perfect hairstyle to display the neckline of her sweater as well as her choker and necklace combo. You know what they say, “Own that ponytail, work that updo!”

The next time you’re scanning your college closet for that perfect look to head downtown for a bite to eat, a coffee date, or a shopping day, remember this look. The perfect recipe to formulate a cute ensemble… simple staples and delicate details!
