ALL IN THE DETAILS: Happy Hoodies

Many times, I have mentioned how important layers are. This time of year is especially great for them when we are transitioning into spring. When walking to class in the morning you may be freezing, but then by the end of the day the sun may have poked its bright face out and it becomes sweatshirt weather!

This Fashionisto’s outfit is a great example of how you can dress for these types of days. His outfit puts a personal spin on the layers, rather than just wearing a bunch of random mismatched items. This time of year is great for hoodies, and that is what he chose to wear under his peacoat. Instead of wearing just a drab old hoodie, his adds a touch of personality to his outfit with the red plaid pattern of it peeks out from the top of his coat.

With this one personal touch of the red plaid hoodie, he keeps the rest of the outfit classic looking. As I mentioned before, he has his peacoat (which is just your classic plain navy peacoat). In one of my previous posts, I mentioned the greatness that is selvedge denim and here this Fashionisto is confirming again how great it is. All of these things, paired with his brown leather boots, create a well put together outfit that is also prepared for the sun to come out and to shed off those winter coats!

How To: So it’s cold and you really want to break out that fly hoodie but you need an extra layer. Just throw a light jacket or coat over top and let the hood stick out!
