ALL IN THE DETAILS: A '60s Flair

We may currently be living in 2015, but there’s no doubt that the ’60s are coming back. Whether you’ve managed to snag your mom’s flared jeans or just simply thrifted vintage mod pieces, it’s time to throw them on and embrace this trend! I caught this Fashionista in the city looking as though she stepped right out of the ’60s!

Pops of color mixed with patterns, her outfit had it all! This Fashionista managed to look effortlessly chic while taking cover from the spring showers. She wore a plaid patterned mini dress with tights, printed socks and red patent leather oxfords. Her mint coat, which she happened to score online, was actually originally sold in Saks in the ’60s. When trying out the ’60s trend there’s nothing cooler than purchasing vintage pieces that are actually from the time period!

Despite her coat’s eye-catching color, the focal point of the outfit was her choice of accessory. She wore a cross-body bag shaped like a 45 record. If you didn’t already know, mini bags are the perfect springtime accessory. They come in a variety of styles, but it’s especially fun to purchase ones in funky shapes like this splash out wicker clam shell, this walk on air clutch and this spring forward wicker snail.

How To: Are you willing to try out the ’60s fashion trend? It’s as simple as scouring eBay for some real vintage pieces. Pair the outfit that you thrift with a fun shaped bag for a completed look!
