ALL IN THE DETAILS: Born To Be Bold

Spring has sprung! The sun is shining, the birds are chirping and all the bright, bold colors have come back to us. With so much yellow and mint grazing the streets, rich and dark hues are getting shoved to the back of our closets. But who says you can’t wear dark colors in spring?

To all my dark, RAD divas, this one’s for you.

This Fashionista caught my eye while she was sipping on some tea on campus. I was particularly drawn to her sweater. Though simple, it stood out on this particularly bright and warm day.

When I studied the rest of her look, I saw that she had mixed several different jewel tones. The clash of warm and cool hues and light and dark tones showed a juxtaposition that really worked for her.

Not only did she blend together the different fabrics and colors perfectly, but she also had the perfect amount of jewelry. Her statement necklace complimented the look flawlessly, while her simple ring added a little touch to her otherwise bare hands.

This girl really loves jewel tones because that look followed her all the way to the tiptops of her fingers!

My favorite part of this look is that she keeps it light, bohemian while also incorporating pieces from her winter closet.

How To: To recreate this Fashionista’s look, pair a patterned romper with some equally interesting jewelry (bonus points for mixing metallics!). Don’t forget to throw on a heavier jacket for when the sun goes down!
