STYLE GURU STYLE: Back to Black

If you have ever read any of my previous CollegeFashionista posts, you are well aware that I love black. I love it for a number of reasons: it’s flattering on anyone, is a neutral color and can be worn for any occasion. Not to mention that it’s a proven fact that dressing in black makes you more attractive (check this interesting article here).

This past summer, I’ve tried to incorporate more color into my wardrobe, and I think I have succeeded. However, I always find myself coming back to black as a color to base my wardrobe around.
As we start our transition into the fall, I’ve found inspiration in a lot of different designers, specifically Boss’ 2016 resort collection.
I really love the way that the designer stuck to a neutral color palettes that are simple and flattering on every body type. I admire that he stuck to clean lines and structured pieces and I want every single piece of clothing that is featured in this show!
I found this simple long black dress from H&M when I was in Vancouver a few months back, and immediately wanted to purchase it for the summer and fall seasons. I find it to be extremely versatile, not to mention comfortable. To make the outfit a bit more appropriate for the fall season, I paired it with these booties and a gold, black and silver purse from ALDO. It’s also super easy to throw on a jean jacket once the weather starts to get chillier.
