ALL IN THE DETAILS: Cozy It Up

Winter break has finally arrived! For the average college student, this means three things: food, sleep, and Netflix (order doesn’t matter). Finals are always a pain and sometimes the best way to really start off break is by relaxing by the fire in with a warm cup of cocoa and watching that favorite Gossip Girl episode. Now that all the Fashionistas out there don’t have to worry about trying to find the perfect outfit and accessories to flaunt around campus, it’s time to switch to the two C’s: cozy and comfortable.

This Fashionista is all ready to meet up with some old friends for some Starbucks and chill. She combines the typical black leggings, the essence of the cozy look, with a tattered Urban Outfitters shirt. She tops it off with a navy blue parka coat, perfect for those long New England winters. Her footwear consists of faux fur lace-up boots, perfect for that mid afternoon winter stroll in the woods. Does the cozy look mean one cannot wear jewelry? Fear not, dear reader, you will find your answer below.

Something I noticed about this Fashionista was that she decided to wear a choker necklace which matched the grungy look that her shirt provided, giving her outfit a real pop. So, jewelry and accessories are a definite in. Over this last semester, dark hues of red have popped up in the styles of college girls around campus. Whether it was in the color of their shirts/sweaters or their jeans, this color is definitely an emblem of a winter trend and can be worn either casual like in this style or out and about. Accessorize this with a simple necklace like the choker our Fashionista is wearing, slip on some leggings, and you will be all set to enjoy your winter break with some friends. Now, don’t worry about all those glammed up party outfits just yet, save em’ up for that spectacular New Year’s Eve party.
