WHAT TO WEAR: Fall

All across the nation, fall feels a little different to everyone, but we all have one thing in common: we all associate fall with changing leaves, cozy feelings and of course Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Although in some places it feels more like summer, here in central Pennsylvania we finally have had a few brisk days roll through Happy Valley. However, a huge part of our Penn State style involves comfort. Long days, changing weather and a huge campus to trek across doesn’t work too well if you aren’t comfortable in the outfit you are rocking that day. This Fashionista perfectly embodies Penn State fall style through her comfort, class and simplicity.

My favorite part of this Fashionista’s look is her blanket scarf. Blanket scarves are the perfect way to feel like you just rolled out of bed and showed up to class without looking like you did. You aren’t going to see bed head or sleepy eyes on this Fashionista. The crossed pattern and the coloring in the scarf make her look very autumnal and cozy. The tan, burgundy, gray and white all complement the army green vest she is rocking over her gray sweater. Her layers are perfect for a chilly day because she can adjust as needed throughout the day.

To complete her look, she goes for some dark wash jeans and chestnut brown riding boots, keeping the look warm and simple. She uses a Michael Kors tote for class, which is definitely a cute alternative to a bulky backpack (if you have the patience to carry a tote around campus, props to you girl).

One Simple Change: This look can absolutely work once winter comes in as well. Add a thick jacket and warm socks and you’ll be more than prepared for freezing temperatures.
