WHAT TO WEAR: Fall

With all the buzz and fashion talk from New York Fashion Week, fall fashion has officially hit the runway and now it’s time to embrace the rich autumn colors and the cool and cozy pieces that are shaping the most popular trends for fall. With florals and lots of ’70s-inspired, free flowing pieces, the fashion world is making an insanely exciting statement this season.

This week’s Fashionista is embracing all the looks of NYFW in all the best ways. She’s rockin’ a pair of fun-colored printed hippie-jogger pants from PacSun that are complemented so seamlessly by a classic black loose-fitting crop top from Urban Outfitters and a maroon bralette, also from Urban Outfitters, that adds a little edge and brings out the color in her pants. This look is so simple, yet so signature. It’s elegant and pretty but it also emphasizes a unique and fun energy by incorporating vivid colors and unexpected fabrics and patterns.

To give her look a little bit of an edge, she’s matched her ensemble with a pair of Cathy Jean caramel-colored wedges and a black felt hat from a quaint boutique on NW 23rd street in Portland, Oregon. To complete the outfit with a finishing touch, she’s wearing a few elegant pieces of gold jewelry: a bangle bracelet, a necklace that reads, “Stay True” and a timeless gold ring all purchased from Forever 21.

Personally, I love that fashion trends from the ’70s are making a comeback. The colors, patterns and textures all seem to work cohesively to put together some flirtatiously fabulous looks for the fall season.

One Simple Change: To accommodate the climate change that occurs during the transition from summer to fall and fall to winter, consider adding a blazer, a jacket or a sweater to make the outfit suitable for any kind of cold weather. Or, replace the wedges for a pair of boots.
