STYLE GURU STYLE: These Clothes Were Made-well

The recent Madewell fashion show was fab. Each piece utilized denim and color to make a cohesive ready-to-wear collection. The colors ranged from blue to orange to red. The outerwear ranged from furry vests to big chunky scarves to lots and lots of denim. True fact: I love denim and big chunky scarves. So what’s better than to add the two together? Nothing.

I really love how the Madewell show mixed colors and patterns. They were not afraid to tryout different patterns. The fall ready-to-wear was far from just simple it was fun, chic and rad. I am truly a fan of each and every look in this collection and I can assure you readers that you will be seeing much more of Madewell in my posts.

I chose to emulate look number 20 which features an intense scarf with the clothing have a hint of blue. The blue reminded me of the denim in the other looks and thus I put together a fab outfit.

So today, I wore a simple outfit that utilized both denim and big chunky scarves. I matched my vintage Levi’s jacket with a chunky J.Crew scarf for the perfect outfit that kept me both warm and trendy. Although it may not seem like the bleached jean jacket and scarf go together, I paired it with simple leggings and a white shirt. I truly wanted the duo to shine through.

This fall 2015 ready-to-wear show inspired me to not only be bold and mix the unexpected but also to be more adventurous with my accessories. The result is a fun, casual look that can be dressed up or dressed down.

Get My Look: 1. A vintage jean jacket. 2. A chunky scarf. 3. A simple pair of black leggings.
