STYLE GURU STYLE: Summer Blues

As September is creeping upon us faster then we would like, it’s time to start transitioning our wardrobes from summer dresses and rompers and dig out the knit cardigans and booties. Although the bright floral shorts might be completely out of season, some items can easily be converted from season to season to give you the perfect fall fashion look you’ve been dying to create!

Scrolling through the Chloé fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection, it is easy to spot the lightweight and loose dresses paired with heavier fur vests and over coats. The color palette is effortlessly chic, featuring beautiful shades of purple, blue and burnt orange. The sillohettes and designs of each look create a tough yet feminine feel with deep V necklines and belted waistlines. Hands down to Clare Waight Keller for this breathtaking collection.

Personally, I’m still not over my favorite summer dresses but I’m beyond ready for my comfy knit sweaters. Here in Rhode Island, waking up to a morning breeze is probably the most refreshing thing after this hot summer and a great reminder that fall is almost here! With some inspiration from Ms. Clare Waight Keller, I pulled together this look with some classic summer pieces and some fall must haves. The neutral cotton dress is simple yet interesting and has been perfect for running around in the summertime heat. I’m not ready to put this baby away! The sweater adds a new statement texture and pattern making this classic baby doll dress a bit more intriguing. Although the silhouette seen here and through out the Chloé ready-to-wear collection is loose and one dimensional, adding a heeled bootie gives any girl killer legs and killer comfort at the same time. What’s better then that ladies?! I added my favorite kate spade watch to add a light hearted feel to this look!

Get My Look: 1. A loose white dress. 2. A blue patterned knit sweater. 3. Black booties.
