STYLE GURU STYLE: Suede is our Savior

This month I wanted to explore my personal style more. I would describe myself as very ecliptic. I change my style with my mood, the time of day, and where I am going. I love to dress up for class early on in the week to motivate myself to be my best. Who wouldn’t feel confident when lacing up their Stewart Weitzman suede thigh high boots and strutting to class? Today I wore a vintage suede patched skirt that intrigued me very much when walking by the display at Abercrombie & Fitch. The skirt features patches of different colors and types of fabric, like suede and leather. I love that about it. Suede is the new black, just kidding black is my favorite color, but it is still a close second. I have to say that Abercrombie & Fitch is stepping up their game with their stylists and buyers because I have been able to find some cute pieces lately. I paired the skirt with a cropped sweater. Everyone needs one of these in their closets. You can wear it with a button-down underneath, with high waisted jeans, or even skirts. It is so versatile. My favorite part of this outfit is the suede, light gray thigh highs. They are hands down a must have. They are taking off in all direction and I cannot get enough.

This outfit combination is a representation of my personal style because it is unique. I spent this week embracing my naturally curly hair. The natural high pony complimented the bit of vintage the skirt gave off. The thigh highs can bounce from style to style and the multi-fabric patched skirt is so different. I had to buy it and try to rock it. It is a perfect outfit to stand out in a more subtle way. You are dressing appropriately, while still being stylish in this New England winter weather. The earthy tones in the outfit fit with the season and everyone’s mood during winter. Pair it with a puffy floor length coat with a little fur hood like I did and you are set to jet!
