STYLE GURU STYLE: Spring Break

adidas by Stella McCartney has broadened my horizons on the ideas of casual, sporty chic. Graphic T-shirt, sneakers and fun sporty pants are totally trending this season. Spring break is the perfect way to kick off the start of this growing trend. Sporty-chic is the perfect style for a relaxing, comfortable spring break vacation.

Today, during my spring break trip to Florida, I wore black Nike shorts, my favorite Beyonce-inspired graphic T-shirt and white sneakers accessorized with my aquatic patterned bag and sunglasses. My shirt says “Surfboard Surfboard,” literally making it the perfect essential spring break shirt. Keeping with the vacation theme, my drawstring aqua patterned bag is the best practical bag for all your beach needs.  My outfit mimics the comfortable style of adidas but also was inspired by the many different colors and patterns of their line. I tend to have such a colorful wardrobe, so adding a fun patterned bag is really different for me. If you’re similar and you want to experiment with crazy patterns for spring break, use your accessories as an outlet to test out different colorful looks.

To go a little more bold with this trend, mix and match various kinds of patterns with your shorts and shirts. Be careful with the colors that you pick, and try to stay within a three color limit. Additionally, look at simple text on shirts for a saying or phrase that you really like. There’s nothing more chic than a short, sans-serif phrase printed on a white T-shirt paired with some jeans.

Test out this colorful, comfortable look during your spring break or next adventure! It’s a great way to stay on trend while also being comfortable.
