STYLE GURU STYLE: Simply Neutral

I am finding myself more and more with neutral colors popping into my wardrobe. Neutral colors represent simplicity, yet are completely calming and serene, which is why I love Rebecca Minkoff’s spring 2016 ready-to-wear Collection. Her designs are so effortless and interesting. I also love how she incorporates different style types into her collection such as bohemian and modern. Then, she tops off the looks by mixing in a short hemline.

While keeping the color scheme in mind, I decided to wear all neutral colors in my ensemble, such as black and gray. I decided to wear a black A-line skirt with a black long sleeve shirt that I tied on the side. I personally am a huge fan of the color black since it’s extremely sliming. Black is such a staple item since I can incorporate this color in a wide variety of outfits. I especially love this outfit because I took two basic items in every girl’s wardrobe: a black skirt and a black long sleeve shirt. I added a fun gray vest to add some style into the outfit. Lastly, I added ballet flats to give this attire a sophisticated vibe. Each piece of clothing is extremely versatile and can easily be changed to accommodate the changing seasons. For example, as the weather becomes colder, throw on some tights and the outfit will definitely keep you warmer. Also, this outfit can be modified for many different occasions such as going out with your friends. All you need to do is add heels, wedges or booties. If you want to wear this outfit to class, just add some leggings and you are good to go!
