STYLE GURU STYLE: Pretty In Paisley

Well, spring has finally sprung. No more snow, no more hot chocolate and no more winter jackets. Hallelujah! The best thing about a new season is, of course, the new fashions.

Every spring, I put away my heavy sweaters and coats and bring out my colors and patterns. Whether you’re a stripes, polka-dots, lace or floral kind of gal, there’s no denying that patterns are the best thing to ever exist in fashion.

Paisley just screams spring to me and it is definitely one of my new favorite spring patterns. When I saw the Etro spring 2016 ready-to-wear, I knew I had to incorporate paisley into my spring outfits immediately. This collection is very boho-chic with a ’70s vibe. It uses a mostly nude color palette with some pops of color. Every look incorporates paisley in some way or another, creating very spring appropriate looks without overdoing it or making it look messy.

I was instantly inspired by this collection and created my own look. I chose a light purple paisley top and paired it with a deep-red scalloped skirt. To finish the look off, I added a simple “love” necklace and my brown combat boots. I love this look because the paisley shirt makes this outfit more casual and spring-oriented.

Paisley is definitely a must-have this spring season. It adds the perfect boho touch to any outfit, but still is, at the same time, both feminine and girly.

Get My Look: 1. Scalloped skirt. 2. Flowy paisley top. 3. Combat boots.
