STYLE GURU STYLE: Practical Paisley

I hope you all are having a great month and a fabulous spring! My look was inspired by the upcoming festival season. Recently seen on the runway by the Chloé spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection. Chloé’s creative director Clare Waight Keller designed a collection of festival-inspired looks.

Many of the pieces that are inspired by the festival season include paisley print, fringe, lace, denim and florals. In my outfit, I tried to incorporate most of these trends. For instance, the paisley print is to die for. The neutral colors are perfect for a casual day out, and it oozes those boho vibes into the spring air.

For this outfit my main focus is the grey shawl from Abercrombie & Fitch. I think the fringe on this piece adds great texture, since the rest of my outfit is primarily black. Plus, it relates to some of the beautiful pieces in Chloé’s collection. My tank top is from Forever 21 and my go-to black high waisted pants are from Topshop. To finish off the look I added a grey floppy hat and a stone necklace, both from Forever 21. As for my shoes, I found these adorable pointed toe sandals from Forever 21, and they were only $3.50!

My personal style is heavily influenced by bohemian looks and fashion from festivals such as Coachella and Outside Lands. Although my outfit does not look like Vanessa Hudgens at Coachella with a flower crown, I think my boho-inspired look is more wearable as an everyday look. Whether you’re going shopping with the girls or having a chilly beach day, this look is sure to be versatile and comfy.

Get My Look: 1. A fringe shawl. 2. Any high-waisted jeans. 3. A floppy hat.
