Don’t get too ahead of yourselves Fashionistas, we all love the hit show Orange is the New Black, but bright orange jumpsuits and silver handcuffs are not the trend this fall. However, the school year has started and a new season is quickly approaching; which means dump those bright summer colors and jump into the fall! While high fashion is ideal, let’s be honest, it is important to be comfortable and fashionable at school.

This season, New York Fashion week highlighted neutrals and flesh tones, but adding a pop of color to your piece can take your outfit from typical to adventurous. Orange is a great transition piece for your neutral tone outfit and can be a staple if you’re feeling a bit risky. Adding some neutral and flesh tones in your accessories or shoes will keep you on trend with a little extra something spice. If it’s getting a bit chilly outside, throw on a neutral colored bomber or a jean jacket to keep warm.

In this photo I wore a vintage off-the-shoulder high-low orange dress as my main piece. In the fall, I try to stay away from bright shades of orange and gear toward deeper colors to embrace the season. I paired my dress with a gold choker and mirrored sunglasses from Forever 21 to add some personality. For shoes, I chose brown leather open toe booties from Free People. To tie everything together I grabbed a tan leather backpack and off to class I went!
