STYLE GURU STYLE: Layers For The Fall

Fall is one of the best times of the year. The leaves are changing colors, and there is no better feeling than that crisp cool air against your face. But deciding on something to wear for the fall can be difficult. When you leave for class in the morning it’s too cold, but by the time you come home it’s too hot. What I have come it realize is the key to dressing in the fall is layering. That way, as you go about your day you don’t have to worry about getting too hot or cold. You just take off one of your layers as the day goes on.

In this outfit, I decided to pair a high neck sweater with leggings and a jean jacket. Since the sweater is so plain, pairing it with the jean jacket is the perfect way to add a difference in the layers. I paired it with black leggings to keep the simple look. I added the shoes for a pop of details with the fringe. I got the inspiration for this outfit from all the students on campus. Two common things that I see around campus are jean jackets and high neck shirts. Both are perfect for the fall because they can keep you warm on those cool days. This is a perfect outfit you could wear to class or just when you’re out and about.

If you are ever struggling to find an outfit for the fall, just think about layering. You can layer sweaters, jackets, flannels or whatever you like to make it your style. With the weather getting colder, you can still heat up your style! Embrace the layers, and enjoy the fall season!
