STYLE GURU STYLE: I Loaf You

Pre-fall just sounds like a fancy term for summer and this Band of Outsiders pre-fall 2015 runway show fits that description wonderfully. The ensembles were tailored just right to give off a crisp feel. Whether it was a striped blazer or a floral-printed dress that made you want to frolic with your hair blowing in the wind, this runway show is ready for all occasions. What mostly caught my eye was the range of footwear. A tailored suit with wood-soled slides never looked better, but also had the option of being paired with suede booties or beautiful leather boots. It was the fusing of paisley sundress, denim on denim and touches of crochet that truly won my heart!

So, I put together my closest Band outfit. I paired a very blue-washed denim with my paisley embroidered crop top. Crop tops are perfect for summer, but not everyone feels comfortable showing their tummy. This is where high-waisted jeans come in to be the peanut butter to crop top jelly. For the modern touch, I rocked my Michael Kors bag that’s the perfect shade of navy blue. And last but not least, I wore my vintage Chanel loafers that I had the utmost pleasure to find. The square toe has ‘70s written all over it and make my feet feel pretty. I didn’t think love at first sight existed until then.

This runway show inspired me to bring back my summer preppy style with a splash of a hippie vibe. I’m definitely going to incorporate these trends back into my wardrobe and show off these loafers to the world!

Get My Look: 1. Eyelet crop top. 2. Very blue denim. 3. Leather loafers.
