If there is one trend that I absolutely love (at least, if I haven’t made it clear already), it would be T-shirt dresses. So, when I came across Vetements fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection, I was ecstatic! Vetements’ collection featured a wide variety of unique ensembles. From patterned dresses and color-blocked jackets, to black suits and graphic sweats, the collection has a style for Fashionistas/os around the globe.
The versatility present throughout the collection is effortless. It was this essence that gave me the inspiration to attempt this look. The outfit that inspired my outfit featured a mini T-shirt dress paired with a green bomber jacket and star-printed boots. I decided to play with a combination of styles present in Vetements’ collection by wearing a snakeskin printed T-shirt from adidas and an oversized faux fur coat. To take the outfit from runway to street, I opted to wear white Nike Air Max sneakers instead of platform boots. Considering it was windy (and I was having a really bad hair day), I completed my outfit with a fishtail braid and a brown Polo baseball hat. A statement lip and purse is always paired well with a statement outfit, so I chose to accessorize with a bright, matte purple lipstick and a red quilted Michael Kors bag.
If you’re stepping out and wanting to make a statement, you have to commit to the ensemble 100 percent. I took a risk and owned it! At the end of the day, taking a fashion risk is never a bad thing, as long as your confidence outshines it all.
