Fall is my favorite time of year because of the colors, apple cider and the many layers of cute clothes that I get to wear. This year, my favorite fall accessory is over-the-knee boots. They’re seen all over the runways too, especially in the Marc Jacobs fall 2015 ready-to-wear show. This collection features thigh-high boots, plaid patterns and lots of leather that tastefully accents dark colors.
My favorite part of the Marc Jacobs collection is the leather thigh-high boots. Over-the-knee boots have been becoming very popular this fall and I believe they will continue to gain attention as we head into the cooler months. I believe these boots are one of the top fashion trends because they can give any outfit a chic look as well as allow you to take on the cold. To incorporate this into my own style I decided to wear boots that weren’t as dramatic as the ones in the Marc Jacobs line. The flat heel and suede material of my boots make them casual enough for everyday wear. I then paired them with a beige tweed jacket with leather sleeves. I really like this jacket because the tweed material and structured shape make it very sophisticated while the leather sleeves keep it from looking like a jacket your mother let you borrow. I feel that’s what Marc Jacobs was going for in his fall 2015 collection: something that was elegant but edgy at the same time. To finish my outfit off, I wore a plaid scarf and carried a leather handbag to mimic the plaid and leather theme from the show.
