STYLE GURU STYLE: Ending On A Simple Note

As this semester comes to an end, I am finishing off the way I started with my own personal style. I have enjoyed sharing with you the Fashionistas I have come across while in Chicago this semester.

This outfit definitely shows off the more carefree, laid back attire I have in my own closet. With the temperatures dropping and the snow falling, I have decided to layer a bit more than my original summer attire from my Style Guru Bio. First and foremost, my go-to pair of shoes in the winter have to be my UGGs. There is absolutely no other shoe that keeps my feet warm, and pairing them with fuzzy socks makes me feel so much more comfortable. Due to the cold weather, jeans are a staple to my winter apparel as well. Usually, I opt for regular skinny jeans because they work perfectly with any shoe I choose to pair with my outfit. Underneath my long, gray cardigan, I have chosen a simple white turtleneck. As a California native, I never imagined myself wearing turtlenecks, but after being in Chicago for two years, I cannot survive winters without them. Turtlenecks are simple and add that extra warmth which is necessary for these low temperatures. I combined this top with a long, gray cardigan that is also hooded. To me, it is not only warm, but it feels like I have a blanket wrapped around me, and who doesn’t love being comfortable.

To finish off my look, I added an olive green scarf which has been my go-to accessory this season. I also put my hair in a side braid to keep it out of my face, as it can get windy here in Chicago. As I did in my Style Guru Bio, I still have my silver ring collection that I wear on a daily basis to add an extra sparkle to my everyday looks.

This semester has been such a blessing, and I have enjoyed sharing my finds with all of you. Enjoy the holidays and have a great break with family and friends!
