STYLE GURU STYLE: Black, White and Glam All-Over

Black and white doesn’t have to be blah. This color trend has made its rounds again and again over the years, including in rag & bone’s pre-fall 2016 runway show, and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon and for good reason (you know what they say—if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it). The color palette of the show was almost exclusively black and white with hints of greens and browns.

The world may not exist in black and white, but there’s nothing wrong with your wardrobe existing in these two colors. Wearing this duo makes you look effortlessly classic no matter the occasion; classic looks are the best! They can always be reinvented and made unique to fit your personal style.

I paired a dressy, black skater skirt with a comfy and casual white sweater with a gold sequin pattern. How could you not love this pairing? I finished the outfit off with black tights and brown combat boots to give it a balance of feminine and edgy. It could as easily be paired with black combat or heeled boots. You could wear this ensemble to everything from class, to a night out or a family party.

Get My Look: 1. Perfume bottle sweater. 2. Black skater skirt. 3. Combat boots.
