STYLE GURU STYLE: A Gray Area

The color gray has always been in attendance at fall/winter runway shows year in year out, whether it be bright or muted shades, whether casually or formally. Through fashion houses using this staple shade over and over, we are now bumping into another grand fall/winter 2016-2017 color trend to add to our wardrobes.

Gray was brought to the forefront through sweaters, pants and numerous other pieces at Marissa Webb’s fall 2016 show. Turtlenecks have, and always will, be my favorite style staple so when I saw the looks from the runway show I instantly fell in love with the whole collection. Especially with the cold weather coming I can’t stop buying every single one I see.

This gray turtleneck is one of my favorites (I wear it at lest once a week) because it’s so minimalist that it matches with everything but the subtle detailing makes it more than a basic. I paired it with a simple pair of dark blue jeans, taupe booties and grey wool socks.

I’ve never been a big hat wearer but when I saw this beanie I thought it was so cute I had to try it out and ended up loving it! I really try to take risks with my outfits so I took this as the perfect opportunity. For all you Fashionistas out there that think gray is a super boring color, do your research on current trends and styling tips! You never know what you’ll find and what you’ll instantly fall in love with.
