STYLE GURU BIO: Ursh Khan

Hey there, Fashionistas/os! My name is Ursh and this is my second semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I’m currently a double major in Corporate Communications and English Literature with a Graphic Communications minor at Baruch College. I’m not quite sure what I want to do yet with my degree, but I’m thinking it’s going to be something creative and possibly in the beauty industry.

I’m passionate about art, writing and traveling. I got to travel to Italy very recently with my family. We went to Milan, Florence, Rome and Venice. I thought Venice was so beautiful because the entire city is surrounded by water. That, to me, is so calming and romantic. It’s definitely one of those places I’m going to revisit in the future. I’ve gained a lot of invaluable experience from being a Style Guru this past summer with CollegeFashionista. It has helped me so much with developing my love for writing and experimenting with fashion journalism. I’m also less shy to approach Fashionistas/os on the street now!

I draw a lot of my style and beauty inspiration from bloggers and publications such as Olivia Palermo, Batalash Beauty, NYLON and Allure Magazine. Urban Outfitters, Aritzia and ASOS are my favorite places to shop. I’m an all-black everything kind of girl so these stores are my second home where I can always find something flattering. T-shirt dresses are my new favorite thing and they are perfect for the fall! I love a deep oxblood lipstick with my signature winged eyeliner. I think that makeup completes your entire look. Even on my crappiest days, if my makeup is done, my outfit is complete.

This fall, I’m looking forward to improving my writing even further as well as gain more blogging and photography experience. I’m excited to explore all the RAD things CollegeFashionista has planned for us!
